Beverages 

Star Bar is BYO so it is up to you or your caterers to provide beverages for your guests. We do not sell alcohol but can provide drinking water and ice for your event.

Service and staff

Service is directly from Star Bar, we do not provide table service or roaming wait staff. You can dry hire Star Bar however this is only permitted if professional staff members from your catering company will be serving. We do no allow yourself or friends to serve from Star Bar. We can organise and supply staff to serve if you require.

How do we keep drinks chilled?

We have  a bar fridge as well as chilly bins for ice cold drinks. We also provide stylish ice buckets to keep drinks chilled while on display. Depending on the size of your event you may want to rent a chiller trailer.

Host Responsibility 

In the instance Star Bar and/or associated furniture/hire items are damaged, whether un-intentionally or not, the host is liable for all costs associated in repair to Star Bar.

If this requires an insurance claim the host is responsible for all excess payments required.

Any sub-hire items that are damaged or broken  will also be charged for in relation to the individual suppliers terms and conditions.

If an insurance claim is denied, the host is responsible for reimbursement for the total amount of repair or replacement. In some instances a bond may be required and refunded after the event.

Star Bar can strictly only be moved or relocated by Star Bar owners or staff. 

Star Bar staff will not tolerate any drunken and disorderly behaviour and withhold the right to cease bar service in this instance.

Do we need power?

Power is not essential but Star Bar operates more efficiently with mains power. We can provide a modern quiet generator for times when power is unavailable and we have battery power which can operate basic lighting and water pump.

Glassware

Your caterers or food and beverage supplier may already include these with your services. We would advise checking first with them but happy to assist with supply if required. We do suggest bottled beer/cider to reduce water usage.

Where can Star Bar go?

Star Bar is available for service in the Queenstown and Arrowtown Areas. We do require a flat service of 5m/2.5m to park and as some sites can be tricky to get to we may require a site check before confirmation of booking (site check fee's may apply). You are required to seek any permission from landowners or council and provide any required permits at least 21 days prior to your event.

How do I confirm my booking?

Star Bar requires a 50% deposit to confirm a booking.

Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellations.

Balance payment is required a week prior to your event date.

Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit and signed contract is received.

In the case of bad weather where plans and locations may change we will do our best to accommodate the necessary plan changes but require notice approx 3 hours in advance of set up time.
